Alton Towers IAD Weekend 2025 – Celebrating 12 Years!

The 2025 Alton Towers event for International Angelman Day marked an incredible 12 years of bringing families together for a weekend of fun, connection, and celebration!

The 2025 Alton Towers event for International Angelman Day marked an incredible 12 years of bringing families together for a weekend of fun, connection, and celebration! This year was our biggest yet, with the amazing support of Spread Your Wings, Max Ward Foundation, and Willow, allowing us to fully fund 70 families, a record high. In total, over 300 people joined us for this unforgettable weekend.

It was fantastic to see familiar faces returning and to welcome new families experiencing this special event for the first time. FAST UK & Spread Your Wings funded the entertainment this year, making the celebrations even more exciting. The weekend kicked off on Friday night with DJ Karlton, who set the perfect party atmosphere. On Saturday night, live singer Graham Lindley and Bubbleologist Damien Jay kept everyone entertained, bringing even more joy to the event.

A Word from Linda Holmes, Event Organiser:
“From the moment I start organising the following year’s trip, my daughter Lucy gets incredibly excited! So many families say the same about their own children, and that gives me the drive to make the next event even more exciting. What started with just 12 families in 2013 has grown into the largest iAD event in the UK! It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come, and I’m so grateful to FAST UK and all the charities involved for believing in me and helping to make this event so special. I can’t wait to welcome even more families next year!”

A huge thank you to everyone who made the 2025 IAD Alton Towers weekend possible. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
